The Chicago Chronicles: The begining
Posted: Wednesday, October 22, 2008 by Ian Howerton inThis is it. Chicago. These are the begining of a series of shots that I will be doing of not just the tourist parts of the city but the heart as well. The shots below start off at the Hancock building and continue on to Navy Pier at sunset. I really love what i've seen of this city so far, it was such a beautiful day when we were out to take these shots. There was also a fireworks show at the pier that night and it was amazing to see such a culturely diverse group of people enjoying it together. I really look forward to my time spent in this great city.

These shots are from the street corner a block away. It was such an unusally warm evening that night we just sat on the park bench for a couple hours and people watched. Which living on the edge of boystown, wrigleyville, and lincoln park there is an abundance of interesting people and things to see. It was also a full moon that night and sitting there just made you feel so small, kinda put the world in perspective.

This is a heavily photoshoped version I used as my background page on myspace for a bit. It took several hours to replace all the colors to get it to work out the way I wanted.

This is Lauren's place that Im staying at right on the corner of Aldine and Broadway. It's such a beautiful area and I love how much pride everyone has for it. You always see family's walking around and people cleaning the sidewalks, picking up trash. It always puts a smile on my face every time I walk to and from work to know I live here and that I can walk to work. I love that alot.
